CMMWorks advances off-line CMM programming for SolidWorks 2006
Eugene, OR
Oct 28, 2005:
AccuMetria announces the official release of CMMWorks version 2.0, a powerful and affordable off-line coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programming and simulation software package which is fully integrated into SolidWorks® 2006 3D mechanical design software. Engineers and manufacturers use CMMWorks and SolidWorks to inspect parts and assemblies so they can create better products faster and more accurately, speeding time to market.
Version 2.0 of CMMWorks offers a variety of enhancements and new features for creating CMM programs, such as new tools to streamline the inspection of parts with repetitive geometry. A SolidWorks Solution Partner product, CMMWorks has new tolerance creation and management tools. CMMWorks 2.0 also features new tools for inspection path generation using SolidWorks intersection curves and improved programming visualization and feedback.
CMMWorks reduces CMM downtime, allows direct use of original SolidWorks geometry, and helps prevent probe collisions through the use of CMM motion simulation. CMMWorks uses dimension and tolerance information directly from the SolidWorks model, drawing or assembly. Full on-line documentation and tutorials are provided, as are integrated post processors for DMIS 4.0, GeoMeasure, MeasureMax, Tutor and MicroMeasure 4. With an easy to use graphical user interface, CMMWorks has an intuitive and powerful environment for creating and editing CMM part programs. CMMWorks can also import CAD geometry from sources such as STEP, IGES, ACIS, SAT and others.
